USA suspends the escort of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz for the possible signing of an agreement with Iran, Trump announced.
“Based on the request of Pakistan and other countries, the huge military success we achieved during the campaign against Iran, and the fact that significant progress has been made towards concluding a full and final agreement with Iranian representatives, we mutually agreed that, although the blockade will remain in full force and effect, the ‘Freedom’ project (the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz) will be suspended for a short period of time to check whether an agreement can be concluded and signed
Judging by Trump’s words, Iran agreed to negotiations under the conditions of maintaining the US blockade, the lifting of which was previously a key condition.
But knowing the legendary imagination of Mr. Trump- all these agreements may just be a figment of his imagination.
