A 19-year-old biological male who identifies as a woman and worked as a substitute teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools has been convicted of threatening to go on a “murder spree” at a Virginia high school, kill multiple people, and cannibalize one of the victims.

The Gateway Pundit first reported on Dollery’s arrest in April 2026, when the biological male who identifies as female was taken into custody after the Discord threats and “kill list” references. At the time, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman publicly questioned the school district’s hiring practices, noting the risk of placing 18- and 19-year-olds with only a high school diploma in charge of students.

Hadyn James Dollery, who goes by the name “Sophie” and used the Discord handle “Cotton Candy,” was found guilty Friday on four of the five counts he faced, Loudoun Now reported.

A Loudoun County jury of seven men and five women convicted the former non-licensed substitute teacher of two counts of threatening to injure or kill a person, one count of making threats on school grounds, and one count of threatening to damage a building. He was acquitted on a third threat count.

Prosecutors said Dollery sent the messages over Discord at 1:49 a.m. on April 15, the day after his boyfriend broke up with him. Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Dircia Schubert told jurors that Dollery threatened to kill the ex, the ex’s family, and members of his own family.

He also vowed to carry out a “murder spree” at the ex’s school, John Champe High School, and described cannibalizing one of the victims after killing them. In another message, he asked the ex to return a shirt “if I’m deemed fit to work after this s—t I’m about to do,” according to Breitbart.

This is the same Loudoun County that became a national symbol of progressive education policy gone wrong. Parents still remember the school system’s handling of the 2021 sexual assault of a female student by a biological male in a girls’ bathroom, followed by the district’s attempts to downplay the incident and the subsequent prosecution of the victim’s father for speaking out.
