Fox News contributor Kaylee McGhee White said she and her husband arrived at their Northern Virginia polling place on Election Day only to be told that a mail-in ballot had already been submitted in his name.
In a post on X that quickly drew thousands of views and shares, she wrote that they checked in and “were immediately told a mail-in ballot had already been submitted for my husband.”
She added that the discrepancy would not have been caught if they hadn’t gone in person, and she urged others to show up, writing, “like hell are we going to let them take what little voice we do have.”
Just voted in commie NoVa. Showed up, checked in, were immediately told a mail in ballot had already been submitted for my husband.
I cannot overstate how important it is to show up today. This would not have been caught if we had not gone in person. We might not make much of a difference where we live, but like hell are we going to let them take what little voice we do have.

In a follow-up post, McGhee White said poll workers had to call their supervisors. They were then told the mail-in ballot would have to be invalidated so that an in-person ballot could be generated for her husband.
They had to call in to their supervisors. We were then told they had to invalidate the mail in ballot that had been submitted in order to generate his ballot in person. We of course have no way to verify that this is what they did. But we did our part and showed up, and he was able to submit his ballot in person.

“We of course have no way to verify that this is what they did,” she wrote, “but we did our part and showed up, and he was able to submit his ballot in person.”
White later said the incident had been escalated and thanked the Republican National Committee’s election integrity team, which contacted her husband within five minutes of the report.
And yes, this has been escalated.
I want to give a huge shout out to the RNC’s election integrity team, who called my husband literally five minutes within us reporting this incident. If you or anyone you know experiences ANYTHING that causes you to raise your brows, PLEASE report it at https://t.co/RceCv2uKzy.

She directed others who encounter anything that “causes you to raise your brows” to report it through the RNC’s system.
Virginia election procedures require poll books to flag voters already recorded as having returned a ballot. In such cases, officials typically direct the voter to cast a provisional ballot, which the local electoral board later reviews to ensure only one vote is counted.
McGhee White’s posts do not identify the specific locality or precinct beyond “commie NoVa,” nor do they include a response from local election officials explaining how the mail-in ballot was recorded as submitted.
The Virginia Department of Elections has not issued a statement on this incident as of publication.
