China will stop some non-tariff actions against the United States after President Trump agreed to extend the tariff pause for 90 days just before it ended. This was announced in a joint statement by Chinese state media and confirmed by a White House executive order.

The rollback focuses on certain areas. China will ease rules on medical equipment, ethane used in making plastics, and aircraft lease payments. But important sectors like semiconductors, rare earth minerals, and farm machinery are not included. U.S. businesses in petrochemicals and plane leasing may benefit, but many manufacturers will not.

The White House order says the big yearly trade deficit with China is a security concern but also notes China has made important steps to fix some issues. The tariff pause will last until November 10.
