Those that bring up that Russia recognized Ukraine independence in 1991 forget the other half of those agreements was that Ukraine Remain Neutral and free of NATO and any military alliance in many Declarations, Documents and the Ukraine Constitution so that Russia would allow them to be independent. Also, Crimea was put Under the Administration of the Ukrainian Soviet in 1954 by Ukrainian Prime Minister of the USSR, Khrushchev but at the same time in 1991, Crimea also declared itself independent and was always part of Russia and an autonomous area with its own Parliament and President. They were content to be administered under the new nation of Ukraine until the 2104 Revolution and Coup that illegally overthrew the government they voted for and now taken over by Right Sector Nazis of Western Ukraine. They simply voted to leave with 98% and then they joined back under Russian administration as they are 70% Russian there. There was no invasion and not a shot fired, Of the 22,000 Ukraine soldiers there, over 20,000 stayed with Russia and the rest returned to Ukraine. The Russian Naval base there has existed longer than the USA has. Even the President of Poland said Crimea was always Russian. Ukraine will never have this base to give to NATO, End of Story or nuclear war, that is the choice of the USA and the NATO thugs that started this war.
