On this Day in 2003, David Kelly, the Man who Tried to Warn the World about the Lies of the British Government’s Claims that Iraq Possessed WMDs to Justify the Illegal Invasion, was Found Dead

He was one of Britain’s most respected weapons experts and raised concerns that the government’s case for war had been exaggerated.

The BBC reported that the infamous claim Iraq could deploy weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes had been “sexed up” to strengthen the case for invasion. Dr. Kelly was identified as the source.

Just days later, on the 18th of July 2003, he was found dead near his home, the official story was that he had committed suicide. Many do not believe that narrative.

No stockpiles of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction were ever found. David Kelly was proven right, as Iraq was smouldering in ruin.

1 million people were killed as a result of George W. Bush’s and Tony Blair’s lies. The entire region was destabilised, and ISIS and Al Qaeda rose as a result.
