White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller commented on his wife’s post, where Greenland was colored in the colors of the American flag.
“This has been the official position of the US government since the beginning of the Trump administration,” Miller stated.
“On what grounds does Denmark claim control over Greenland? What are their territorial claims based on? Why is Greenland a colony of Denmark?” he said.
Answering questions about a possible military scenario, Miller made it clear that there would be no war over Greenland. But he did not rule out a forceful seizure of the island.
“There’s no need to even think or talk about this in the context of a military operation. No one will wage war against the United States militarily over the future of Greenland,” he said.
