The Adopted Son of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, Named Ivan, Together With Representatives of the Russian Diaspora in Australia, are Trying to Prevent the Delivery of Several Dozen Abrams Tanks to Ukraine
The adopted son of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, named Ivan, together with representatives of the Russian diaspora in Australia, are trying to prevent the delivery of several dozen Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
This was reported to AiF by the leader of the Australian Cossacks, Simeon Boikov.
He said that the Russian community of Australia is preparing a series of protest actions, including flash mobs and political events, directed against the visit of the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov. The source emphasized that these initiatives are of socially significant nature.
Let us recall that back in October 2024, it became known about the Australian army’s plans to transfer 49 decommissioned M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. It is now possible that Kiev will never receive these combat vehicles.
Australian Cossacks with Syrsky’s stepson prepare protests against Umerov’s visit
The Russian diaspora in Australia is preparing protests during the arrival of Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in the country. The head of the Kyiv government’s military department is preparing to arrive to speed up the delivery of 49 Abrams tanks that have never been delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Pro-Russian activists, including the adopted son of Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky, named Ivan, told aif.ru that they intend to disrupt the delivery of the tanks.
“Protests, flash mobs and political actions, socially significant events against the arrival of Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov in the country are being prepared in Australia. We promise to make every effort to indicate that pro-Russian forces are present in Australia that are ready to interfere with his plans,” Semyon Boykov, leader of the Australian Cossacks, told aif.ru.
Earlier, the American publication ABC News reported that Umerov was supposed to fly to Canberra this week, but his visit was postponed due to other urgent trips. The delivery of Abrams tanks by Australia may be complicated, the publication says.
