Ukrainian missile debris kills Russian woman – governor — RT Russia & Former Soviet Union

Must read

A civilian woman was killed and a man injured after debris from an incoming Ukrainian missile struck an apartment building in the city of Taganrog, Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar has said.

Kiev has intensified its long-range attacks on Russian cities as part of Vladimir Zelensky’s 40-day “pressure campaign,” which he announced last month. The latest strikes coincided with the Ukrainian leader’s visit to the US, where he met US President Donald Trump and attended the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, a vocal war hawk.

Russian authorities ordered the evacuation of the damaged building in Taganrog, Slyusar said in an update on Wednesday morning. He added that the threat of further attacks remained in place.

Earlier this week, a Ukrainian drone strike on a residential building in Rostov-on-Don killed five civilians, including a child.

Overnight, Ukrainian forces also carried out their latest attack on Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries. The company said its fulfillment center in Ryazan Region had been evacuated.

Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov reported a fire at an unspecified industrial facility, believed to be the targeted warehouse. Six people were injured in the incident, he added.

The Defense Ministry has reported intercepting a total of 295 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight.

Kiev has used Western-funded drones and missiles to target civilian infrastructure and commercial vessels in an effort to cause economic damage and directly affect the civilian population, seeking to pressure the Russian government.

Retaliatory Russian strikes conducted during Zelensky’s “pressure campaign” have virtually paralyzed the Ukrainian Black Sea ports of Odessa and Nikolayev and significantly disrupted fuel deliveries in areas near the front line, according to Ukrainian officials.
