The UK is seriously saying Elon Musk is a threat. I mean, come on. One guy tweeting, running a rocket company, and suddenly he is a danger to democracy. That is nuts. You watch politicians scramble like their lives depend on it because of a tweet or a post. A threat assessment for tweets. For a billionaire. It makes you laugh and want to scream at the same time. Short term, people just shake their heads and roll their eyes. Medium term, it teaches every powerful person, anyone with cash or followers, that the government might call them a menace just for existing. It is not a plan. It is a circus. And the people running it look like they have no clue what they are doing.

The state of the UK right now, and the Lib Dems are using their ‘Prime Minister’s Question’ time to call me a “far right, racist hate preacher” and tarnish @elonmusk as a “Threat to democracy” for funding a private case.

The Liberal Democrats have called for national security services to “assess the threat” that Elon Musk poses to British democracy, after Tommy Robinson claimed that the billionaire was paying his legal costs.
Addressing Sir Keir Starmer during Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday (15 October), Daisy Cooper said it is “outrageous” that Mr Musk, a man who “has so much control over what people read online every day”, could be funding a “far-right racist hate preacher”.
