President Trump on Wednesday told reporters that he is not concerned about Democrats impeaching him after they had resounding victories in House and Senate races across the country.

The comments came while Trump was touring the construction site for the White House Ballroom, one of the many things Democrats have mused about investigating and trying to impeach him over.

Trump has spoken to several Democrats, including Texas Senate winner James Talarico, since last night’s elections, indicating a willingness to work across the aisle.

Trump has previously signaled plans to “veto everything” if Democrats come to power.

The President told reporters last week “I have a strong veto,” adding, “I hope that won’t be the case, but if it is, that’s happened before with many presidents, and you have strong veto, and you end up working out deals.”

When asked which Democrats he spoke with on Wednesday, he declined to say who or what was said.

“I can’t tell you that they may tell you, but I can’t tell you,” Trump told reporters.

Trump further said they did not bring up impeachment, and that he’s “not even a little bit” concerned about the Democrats trying.

“I think it would destroy. I think it would destroy the Democrat Party if they did that because impeachment for no reason— what, for having a successful country?” Trump said.

“Our country is more successful now than at any time in its history.”

This comes as Democrats plan to use their new congressional majorities and subpoena power to pursue “signature cases” against key members of the Trump Administration.

Incoming House Oversight Chairman Robert Garcia (D-CA) has already threatened Trump and Trump’s circle, writing “LAWYER UP” on social media last night after Democrats flipped the House. Unlike the Republicans, we can expect to see the Democrats actually wield their power.

Michigan Democrat Senator and former CIA analyst Elissa Slotkin was recently caught on an undercover camera, revealing the Democrats’ plans for January.

“We have a list of, like, the ‘signature cases.’ So the things where it’s, like, so egregious, such a violation of law, such a corruption case… and we will have, in every committee, there will be the ‘signature cases’ where we hold people accountable,” Slotkin said.

She even revealed that she made a pilgrimage to Hungary to study up on their tactics after right-wing Prime Minister Viktor Orban was removed from office.

“I went over to Budapest in Hungary because they just got rid of their authoritarian leader after 16 years,” she said.
