Thomas Rousseau Celebrates Patriot Front being “larger and more active than it’s ever been”

I spoke with Thomas Rousseau about the growth he’s seen recently in his organization.

In an exclusive statement given to National File, Patriot Front founder Thomas Rousseau says, “Patriot Front is larger and more active than it’s ever been, and that directly translates into the positive impact the organization can have on the lives of its members.” This statement is echoed by many testimonies from Patriot Front members collected by podcast duo FroJax in a video taken during the annual fall gathering at Return to the Land that happened in October.

Rousseau founded the group in 2017, after the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally, when he split off from Vanguard America. Rousseau leads Patriot Front to this day, and calls it “America’s largest nationalist activist organization.”

On PatriotFront.us the group says its mission is for “our people, born to this nation of our European race,” to “reforge themselves as a new collective.” Its manifesto says that “membership within the American nation is inherited through blood, not ink. Even those born in America may yet be foreign.”

This perhaps rings most true after the midterm elections which was not just a historic blue wave, but largely composed of candidates whp are foreigners. Our Goverment was designed to represent our Nation, and that has not been the direction undergone after decades of third-world mass migration efforts orchestrated primarily by the left but also fostered by the right through ‘legal’ efforts such as H1B visas.

“More than any piece of rhetoric, it is the impact that our efforts are able to have on the lives of our countrymen that will determine their success,” Rousseau told National File.

You don’t have to take Rousseau’s word for it. You can refer directly to the Patriot Front members who gave personal testimonials. Most of them talk about personal change and brotherhood.

“I was kind of a broken guy… drinking, doing drugs,” one member says. “Joining Patriot Front has been the best decision I’ve ever made… when I joined, I didn’t have a job. One of the guys got me a job.” His story is not unique. Patriot Front unites to help it’s own members, but perhaps more admirable organizes huge efforts around disaster relief and supporting their local communities when in need.

Another tells the camera that he started “working out every day and praying” and is now going through confirmation in the Catholic Church. Rousseau describes that kind of change as the point: “Already men are able to imbue their whole lives with purpose, and pursue virtue and victory with likeminded peers.”

A third member recalls marching in Washington for America’s 250th Independence Day : “It’s a brotherhood like nothing else.” Rousseau echoes the same point: “Bonds of brotherhood forged in our contest for sovereignty are of a kind that can hardly be found anywhere else.”

Although considered controversial primarily by Patriot Front detractors, race is an important factor. This emphasis on supporting White Americans is often mischaracterized as bigotry against but as stated by Rousseau, America was ‘fought for in a valiant struggle that ranks as one of, if not the greatest achievement of the European race.’ As such Patriot Front is comprised of the descendents of these Americans.

A member and former serviceman describes the fraternal groups as “being part of this phalanx of white Euroethnics that are men of like minds,” with martial arts training and fitness standards.

Ethnic or religious separatism is something that is accepted as a necessity for nearly every other race or ethnicity, but is painted as hate when that same action is taken by  Europeans or Americans.

“The strength of character, brotherhood, and discipline we are building is not for ourselves alone, but is to be wielded as a boon to our people at large,” Rousseau said. Patriot Front’s manifesto pledges to “take up the mantle of every untended duty and responsibility of the State,” and the group points to disaster relief as proof that it does.

Patriot Front members have shown up after tornadoes in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, in East Palestine, Ohio, after the train derailment, after floods in Vermont and West Virginia, and after Hurricanes Helene and Milton in North Carolina and Florida.

“Seeing the positive effects on the community…being able to fill in the gaps where people really need it,” says a member who has been in for five years. He also reported that when he asked for a moving company recommendation, “five dudes showed up the next day and moved everything in like two hours.” When you join Patriot Front, you are welcomed in to a brotherhood. You are all held to better yourself by putting time into your health and wellness, and you are supported by your brothers through personal accountability or by simply showing up for each other.

Rousseau describes the work as part of a bigger plan: “This strength may be exerted in any field, from sending teams of men to help disaster stricken Americans, to creating networks of housing, employment, and enterprise to sustain the livelihoods of our communities.”

Patriot Front has faced suspicion from parts of the online right, where critics have long accused the group of being a federal honeypot, or “glowies.” Such critics point to its masked, tightly choreographed marches, which they say are hard to square with a grassroots movement. Patriot Feont rejects these “fed-jacketing” claims, and no evidence has surfaced that it is run or directed by law enforcement.  Members in the testimonial video describe an application and vetting process, and they say the masks protect them from being doxxed and losing their jobs or facing other more serious targeted attacks.

Watchdog groups including the ADL and SPLC classify Patriot Front as a White nationalist hate group, and in 2025 a federal judge wrote that it promotes “a White supremacist agenda.” Those groups say its relief work doubles as recruiting material. They’ve even featured images of members handing out diapers to a family in need as an example of the tracking the terroristick efforts behind Patriot Front. These hateful labels do not match the reality of their modus operandi.

Rousseau frames the group’s future as a fight. “As the enemies of our nation advance against us, it stands as a moral obligation that a man should seek his mutual defense — of himself, his family, and his country — through organization,” he said. “Whatever the future brings, one thing is certain, that it will belong to those who are organized and prepared to face it.”

Any readers interceded in understanding the manifesto should direct their attention to the website, PatriotFront.Us. There to you can also submit an application and get scheduled for vetting.
