Simon Dixon: Trump, Property and Gulf Money

Dixon points to Trump’s property networks and Jared Kushner’s Gulf-backed investment firm as channels of influence over the president.

Former investment banker Simon Dixon claims Donald Trump’s rise runs through New York property networks and Gulf money—not just electoral politics. In a clip Danny Jones posted Oct. 28, Dixon links Trump’s real-estate career to the foreign capital behind Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners.

“I think Trump was groomed for the role,” Dixon said.

He points to Trump Tower and the property circles surrounding Trump’s early career. He then turns to Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and Gulf sovereign wealth funds backing Affinity.

“This is where I think a lot of his covert influence comes from,” Dixon said.

The Gulf funding is documented. Six months after Kushner left the White House in 2021, Affinity secured a $2 billion Saudi investment, The New York Times reported. The Saudi fund’s board overruled advisers’ objections about the firm’s experience, fees and political risks.

In October 2024, Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep. Jamie Raskin reported that Senate investigators found Affinity had collected as much as $157 million in foreign-client fees through mid-2024, including $87 million from Saudi Arabia.

Dixon argues that these financial relationships translate into political leverage. The claim of deliberate grooming is his allegation, not a finding of those investigations.
