Independent Senate candidates and Lower House candidates are looking for volunteers to help with handing out how-to-vote cards at polling booths across NQ at pre-polling and on polling day May 3.
Senate candidates such as Gerard Rennick, Malcolm Roberts and Lower House candidate Bob Katter need help in Kennedy and Leichardt electorates. Other independents will need help too. Scrutineers are also required.
We know unless there is a revolution overnight no amount of complaining or ignoring the terrible state the country is in will help the next generation.
The only alternative right now is to keep good independents in the parliament and try to get some new ones elected.

Labor and Greens have the unions and school teachers to help and they usually send busloads across the north for polling booths while the LNP has a handful of farmers and professionals but their ranks are getting very thin too. The ALP motto is ‘vote early and vote often.’
This is the first time an advertisement has been needed for booth workers in the north. In past years the MP’s say they have had plenty of volunteers but at each election they are getting older.
It is difficult to get younger helpers. Most workers who assisted in the north at the past three elections were over 60, many were around 75 years old and this time a few of them are 80 or more.
Several have passed on and not been replaced. Can you help?
For all other areas please contact your independent candidates and offer what assistance you can for important pre-polling and on May 3. Be a scrutineer if you can.
The result of this election will define the future of Australia.
