Independent journalist and filmmaker Nick Shirley dropped a 43-minute investigative documentary overnight on X that has already gone viral, exposing how the Biden administration’s handling of unaccompanied migrant children operated as the largest government-funded human trafficking ring in history.
In the film, posted to his account, Shirley states that “Your tax dollars trafficked over 300,000 children across the United States while NGOs enriched themselves with millions of dollars,” detailing contracts in which one NGO alone received $895 million while others pulled in more than $100 million each.
Shirley notes that groups operating in places like Tucson, Arizona, pocketed large sums during the border surge but have seen the funding dry up since enforcement tightened under the Trump administration.
The video features accounts from former Border Patrol agents who observed children arriving with the same addresses written on their arms, flight attendants who regularly saw groups of five to ten kids loaded onto planes, and on-camera confrontations with NGO staff—including one woman who simply walks away when pressed about what happened to the children placed in the system.
Shirley said the project took months of filming across multiple states.
WATCH:
🚨 Inside the Largest Government Funded Human Trafficking Ring in History: Your tax dollars trafficked over 300,000 children across the United States while NGOs enriched themselves with millions of dollars.
One NGO received $895 million to traffic children across the US. Others got $100+ million, and NGOs in areas like Tucson, Arizona pocketed millions but now receive nothing since the border shut down.
In this video we break down the contracts, speak with former Border Patrol, and confront the NGOs. It’s a must watch, like it and share it. Make sure no one forgets the hundreds of children lost in the government’s hands.

The documentary’s claims align with official government findings, including a 2024 Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General report which found that ICE had transferred more than 448,000 unaccompanied children to HHS between fiscal years 2019 and 2023, yet as of May 2024 had not issued Notices to Appear initiating removal proceedings for more than 291,000 of them, leaving them without scheduled immigration court dates.
Separately, more than 32,000 of those children failed to appear for hearings that were scheduled, and tens of thousands of release addresses were blank, undeliverable, or incomplete.
🚨 WOW! Nick Shirley just dropped a bombshell: NGOs got HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in taxpayer dollars to traffic thousands of children across the United States
“What happened to all of the children?”
*SHE RUNS AWAY*
One NGO alone got $895 MILLION in contracts, while others pulled in $100M+ 🤯
Border Patrol agents saw kids arriving with the SAME address written on their arms, and nobody looked into it
Flight attendants watched 5 to 10 kids at a time get put on planes every day!
THIS IS CRIMINAL…
A DHS watchdog found in 2024 that ICE couldn’t track the whereabouts of more than 291,000 of these children. We all know why.
Democrats did this for YEARS STRAIGHT and they will DO IT AGAIN, AT SCALE, if we do not vote in droves on Tuesday! 🇺🇸 https://t.co/Ha4n0Vy9Wz

The OIG itself noted that children who do not appear in court are considered at higher risk for trafficking, exploitation, or forced labor.
Statements from the Trump administration have indicated that roughly 146,000 of the children had been located, while nearly 300,000 remained unaccounted for, with additional reports of invalid sponsor addresses, super-sponsors handling multiple unrelated children, and cases of abuse or forced labor.
If NGOs are “non-governmental organizations,” then why should government fund them?
Defund NGOs!

Utah Senator Mike Lee quote-tweeted Shirley’s post and wrote, “If NGOs are ‘non-governmental organizations,’ then why should government fund them? Defund NGOs!”
