Internet censorship for kids really is a laughable matter – www.cairnsnews.org

Must read

A Labor and Liberal plan to prohibit under-16 year olds from accessing social media is like trying to stop the ocean tide from changing according to an IT expert.

The party duopoly is floundering at every turn trying to stem real news on the internet and PM Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton have again joined forces trying to break the back of social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Telegram and a host of other online forums.

Nine Entertainment CEO Mike Sneesby, NewsCorp Australia Executive Chairman Michael Miller and Seven West Media CEO Jeffrey Howard speak during an inquiry into Social Media and Australian Society at Parliament House in Canberra

Albanese can be excused for his inability to tie his shoelaces but Dutton as an ex-police officer should know better than pushing more legislation through the sausage factory which might somehow stop a generation of IT savvy kids from using the net.

Cairns News IT expert and computer engineer Harry Palmer laughed about the proposal saying most school kids would soon get around any attempt to censor the internet.

He said it was obvious the Labor and Liberal parties had no idea about internet technology and thousands of Canberra bureaucrats giving advice were just as inept.

“There are kids out there who can run rings around government control of the internet and social media. Some high school kids have proven to be among the best hackers in the world,” Mr Palmer said.

Meanwhile the print and television media are suffering from dwindling circulation and viewers as internet news pushes newspapers and free-to-air TV aside with instant and generally accurate news and features without a Murdoch or Stokes flavour.

Federal Labor began a public inquiry on Friday into Social Media and Australian Society to determine the impact of social media on society.

Appearing before the Inquiry were News Corp Australia, Nine Entertainment and Seven West Media presenting a united front demanding the government clamp down on harmful online content.

Translating their New Speak, the major media moguls want complete domination of the news cycle allowing them to continue with the official narrative as provided by government and their commercial cabal.

“Social media has become a toxic force in our society with online scams and blackmail, cyber-bullying, trolling, deep fakes and political interference,” News Corp chief executive Michael Miller told the Inquiry.

“It’s also setting up a diet of damaging untruths, or threatening the democratic process by restricting Australia’s access to genuine news and information.”

If ever there has been a case of the pot calling the kettle black, News Corp has just uttered a perfect example.

News Corp took aim at Meta, Facebook’s parent company from pulling out of a deal to pay for news content, costing the media companies $70 million in lost income.

Meta’s claim that Facebook users were not interested in news content was “absolutely not true,” Mr Miller claimed.

Miller has already forgotten News Corp’s lies and disinformation during the entire Covid scam and how Murdoch has protected Big Pharma and their toxic concoctions which have caused a national, 18 per cent excess death rate.

Liberal Senator Alex Antic tabled in the senate nearly 12 months ago the official statistics revealing the terrible, continuous death rate caused by mRNA vaccines, which was studiously ignored by the media troika.

Miller is a Murdoch, globalist charlatan whose newspapers include most metropolitan dailies which have promoted the LibLab duopoly for two generations, burying honest news provided by independent journalists and photographers and demonising any reputable opposition political parties.

News Corp not only has threatened the democratic process it has killed it completely.

It took the Covid coverup for the general readership of News Ltd papers to finally see through the misinformation and disinformation of their tabloids and broadsheet, hence dwindling circulation and a massive loss of advertising income.

The dishonesty of the main stream media has led to the creation of independent publications such as Cairns News and a plethora of other internet news sites presenting accurate news items not appearing in MSM and not influenced by commercial or political interests.

LibLab would be better serving their constituents by fixing up their ideological Net Zero disaster and overturning the de-industrialisation of the country.
