President Trump on Sunday went off on Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and commended former El-Sayed primary opponent for her “very brave” endorsement of Mike Rogers earlier today.
At one point during the rally in Dubuque, Iowa, Trump trolled El-Sayed for lashing out at Trump for calling him Mohammed on the campaign trail after his deep family ties to the Islamic Brotherhood resurfaced.
“I call him Mohammed, not Abdul. You know what? I called him Mohammed, and I did it for certain reasons. Number one, he said, “Why is he calling me —?” Because I’m president, Abdul, and I have the right to call you whatever the hell I want! I have the right to call you whatever I want, and we don’t want to have people that are going to destroy our country,” Trump said before labeling him “arrogant” over his recent anger on the campaign trail.
“He’s a disaster. He’s a nasty guy, and hopefully he gets his ass kicked because that’s what he knows,” Trump added.
Earlier in the speech, Trump also slammed El-Sayed over recent reports that he campaigned, while gathering signatures for his candidacy in early 2026, at multiple radical Islamic mosques that have called the US “the House of Satan” and called for “the final annihilation of Jews.”
“Just yesterday, it was revealed that the Dumocrat Senate candidate in Michigan, Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed, qualified for the ballot by campaigning and soliciting signatures at radical mosques that called America the House of Satan, and called for quote ‘the final annihilation of Jews, all Jews.’ Now he says, ‘Oh no, I think Jews are wonderful,’” Trump told the crowd.
“Now he says, ‘Oh no, I think Jews are wonderful.’ By the way, he’s worse with blacks than he is with Jews, okay? He’s worse. If you’re black, if you’re African American… you’re black, or if you’re Jewish, and you vote for this lunatic, this jihadist lunatic who wants to destroy you, you’re crazy. You’re crazy.”
Trump then highlighted the “very big news this morning from Michigan” of Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens endorsing and campaigning with Mike Rogers.
“She just went out, and she endorsed Mike Rogers, and Mike Rogers is doing well. He’s apple pie. Mike Rogers is apple pie, and you know what this country needs? A little apple pie,” he said.
“And the level of respect from the people of Michigan, especially African American Jewish population— I think they’re very, very happy with what she did. She was very brave in doing it. So I don’t know Haley. I’ve never met Haley, but Haley said what few people are willing to say.”
Trump added, “I’d love her to join the Republican Party, actually. I think that could happen maybe. But she showed great and almost unprecedented loyalty to the great people of Michigan, and that’s another important election for us. We don’t want to have a jihadist.”
“Can you imagine? We’ll have to put him through metal detectors in order to seat– We’ll have 100 senators, and most of them can go direct. We’re going to have to get a special metal detector for Abdul,” he joked.
WATCH:
This comes as Stevens is being exiled by her own party. As The Gateway Pundit reported, the state party chairman has already declared her to no longer be a member, and other top Democrats are lashing out at her.
