On camera the interim senator said she has never been to the house. Shealy already told 19th News Graham comes over, sits on the porch, and talks to the donkeys
A South Carolina Republican commentator has put interim Sen. Darline Graham’s relationship with former state Sen. Katrina Shealy under a harsh spotlight.
Graham, pressed by South Carolina commentator Jackson Gosnell over her ties to Shealy, offered a blunt denial.

The Carolina Courier then compared that statement with comments Shealy made in an earlier profile published by The 19th.
The 19th reported that Graham and Shealy live near each other. Graham, the outlet said, “will sometimes come over and drink wine with Shealy on her back porch and ‘talk to the donkeys’” she keeps as pets.
Graham’s on-camera claim that she has never visited Shealy’s house, and Shealy’s prior description of porch visits that included wine and conversations with her donkeys.
The political relationship was already documented.
The 19th also reported that Graham’s only recorded political donation in OpenSecrets’ database was a $100 contribution to Shealy’s 2020 state Senate campaign.
For South Carolina voters, the investigation has placed the issue in plain view: a direct on-camera denial and an earlier published account that says the opposite.
