The Wall Street Journal reported that Cami Clark pitched Jeffrey Epstein on a women-focused “free luxury porn” venture years after his conviction.
Anthropic markets Claude as the safe, responsible alternative in artificial intelligence. Yet a Wall Street Journal report has exposed an Epstein connection inside CEO Dario Amodei’s closest circle.
The Journal reported that Amodei’s wife, Cami Clark, sought investment from Jeffrey Epstein for what she called a “revolutionary porn company.”
Emails published in the Epstein files and reviewed by Forbes show Clark met Epstein in 2011 through literary agent John Brockman. In 2012, she revived the contact to pitch her company and another venture.

Clark’s outreach came after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution and his registration as a sex offender.
The records do not show that Epstein invested. Clark did not comment to the Journal.
Clark holds no formal position at Anthropic. However, the Journal reported that people close to the company describe her as Amodei’s sounding board and strategic adviser. The paper also reported that she helped bring former Google CEO Eric Schmidt in as an early Anthropic investor.
And now, Anthropic, is now seeking a $2 trillion IPO in October.
For a company built on claims of safety and transparency, the questions now reach beyond Claude’s code. They reach the people advising its chief executive.
