Last weekend Labor held their national conference.
It turns out, according to them, every problem Australia faces can be solved by giving Labor whatever they want.
It’s nothing new.
But what was most important was what wasn’t said.
After getting angry at an escalator, Anthony Albanese gave a big keynote address, outlining Labor’s plans.
And guess how many mentions of mass immigration there were?
None.
How many mentions of productivity?
None.
How many mentions of Indigenous issues?
None.
How many mentions of small business?
One. But it was just about how great rooftop solar is, not about anything to do with the tax and red tape burden they face.
Then there’s the debates that were hidden behind closed doors, that we only got a glimpse of the real Labor agenda for our country.
Powerful unions decided this was a great time to resurrect the divisive Voice.
They also attacked our flag, wanting to remove the “colonialist” Union Jack.
And Labor MP Ed Husic was reportedly running around trying to force them into condemning AUKUS and accepting activist demands about Israel.
Reports in the Nine papers said these were the issues important to Labor’s base.
Not strengthening the economy, tightening the borders, and dealing with cost of living.
Labor’s priority is attacking our allies, attacking our flag, and attacking our constitution.
That’s what this conference was about.
And that’s what Labor is about.
Give them the chance to be honest, and what matters is putting Labor first.
Not putting Australians first.
