I believe that Russia knows something that none of us know about. My guess is country wide civil unrest is coming with the Ukrainian military against the Ukrainian government. Then you will have other factions. Those people are hungry,very little gas and no electricity most of the time. Honestly I can’t believe that it isn’t already happening.

The Russians are attacking logistic transfer points on the Polish border along with transport vehicles. Disabling a locomotive disables an entire freight train. Bottom line. It has always been impossible for Ukraine to defeat Russia. The sooner Ukraine surrenders, the sooner Ukrainians stop dying en mass.
As for Ukraine redeploying elite forces to the Donbas Region. We have seen this movie before. Russia will only advance faster in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv while more Ukrainian troops who appear to include a lot of Columbian mercenaries will die “defending” the Donbas Region.
Strategically, I think that Russian operations in Sumy are as much about interdicting logistics to Kharkiv as creating a buffer zone.
