The Russians don’t seem overly interested in actually taking the big cities like Prokrovsk, Kupiansk etc but instead the surrounding villages and try to seal them off and cut their supply lines and roads.

RF is conducting an envelopment and battlefield isolation on so many large settlements now. Konst, Kupya, Pokro…they have 180 degrees of encirclement making it very easy to seal off logistics from these cities. It also gives them pretty easy artillery control, not just FPVs. Flooding the wings also gives their Su34s a straighter run at the core and more effective range to the rear

Just FYI- the AFU mined those bridges now because they expect to need to use them soon. They didn’t do it because they had no plans to evacuate and seal the retreat route.

Everyday this guy keeps claiming ‘something big” is going to happen or some Offense is about to happen, and it never does. They were supposed take Pokrovosk, but nothing has happened around it for months. The same with Kupiansk. He toyed with Kharkiv, and now it’s Sumy. All this guy is doing is giving us all a course on Ukrainian city names.

The defense of Siversk has been a highlight for the Ukrainians, though it has gotten little attention. Whoever has been leading the defense the past year plus has done an excellent job. The lack of progress by Russia has stuck out like a sore thumb. The Ukrainians will probably sack the guy who has done best job the way they operate to their detriment.

Basically the only progress is in Sumi and that is very close. I have counted around 100 times in this last year where the battle for Siversk has began, i see the map and there is again zero progress
