THERE’S no shortage of evidence to support the contention that President Donald J. Trump represents the spearhead of a global counter-revolution to rescue what we broadly define as “western civilization” from a long-running effort to overthrow it.
Trump, of course, has just come back to power in the US under the MAGA slogan – Make America Great Again. It is essentially a nationalistic call to arms against the tendency of successive American administrations, both Democrat and Republican, to sell America out to globalism.
The ideology of globalism encompasses various ideologies like the cultural Marxism of the New Left with its rejection and redefinition of societal norms like gender, family, nation and Christianity. Then there is the global fascist concept of rule by a technocratic, corporate elite as advocated by the Club of Rome, the World Economic Forum, the Gates and Rockefeller foundations and so on.
Marxist and neo-Marxist revolutionaries play a long game within this globalism. A stunning example is the Mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass, who in the 1970s was a “community organiser” for the Venceremos Brigade, a pro-Cuban group that organized trips by Americans to Cuba, where she visited 15 times.
Wikipedia quaintly states: The Venceremos Brigade is an international organization founded in 1969 by members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and officials of the Republic of Cuba.” The link to the SDS gives a detailed insight into the 1960s New Left.
According to one researcher, Bass traveled to Cuba with member of the M19 “far left terrorist group” aka M19 Communist Organisation, that committed a series of bombings across the US between 1982 and 1985. How that did not affect her political career on the way to her mayoralty, speaks volumes about the ability of Democrats to hoodwink people.
If Mayor Bass remained loyal to her ideology, overseeing the burning down of thousands of homes in her city would be consistent with revolutionary strategy. Independent journalist and academic Michael Shellenberger has no doubt that is the case.
In a recent interview he pointed out that Bass and state authorities were given ample warning of the approach of highly dangerous fire conditions, largely due to the regular Santa Ana winds that sweep down from the inland.
He says the severe fire warnings first came on January 2nd from the National Weather Service, who followed up with a media conference the next day. On January 4th Mayor Bass flew to Ghana to participate in the inauguration of the country’s new president – contrary to earlier promises to not travel abroad if elected mayor.
Los Angeles City is one of 88 municipal cities within the sprawling Los Angeles County, which is currently overseen by a board of five supervisors – all women incidentally – who also need to explain why these fires were allowed to go wild.
Mayor Bass oversees the City of LA, population 5 million. Her Marxist revolutionary background raises a host of questions about her governmental objectives, as do her actions in regard to overseeing a fire department whose lesbian boss was primarily focused, as a matter of policy, on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
Able-bodied men who applied for jobs at the LAFD were put to the back of the line for years, while women and others including disabled people were hired almost immediately. In 2024 Mayor Bass cut funding for the department by $17.4 million, and prioritized assistance for the city’s large homeless population.
Concurrently the security of the city’s water supply was compromised by the Democrat state government environment policy that destroyed four water supply dams in the name of making salmon fishing available to indigenous groups and preserving coastal sprats.
Now with some 12,000 homes and other structures burnt down, the city’s homeless population has increased by about 9% over 2024 to more than 75,000. Perhaps there was method to Mayor Bass’s madness?
The cost of the fires has been put at $135-150 billion. Oh sure, the Federal Reserve bank can print that and hand it over to Newsom and Bass to dish out as they see fit. President Trump is unlikely to dish up a federal bailout without some strict conditions.
But what if more Democrat-run states and cities facilitate a disaster or two? San Francisco? Seattle? Portland? Plenty of willing “torch-bearers” in the US north west. Or could terrorist cells who came in with the border invasion pull off some horrific attack?
Speaking of the border invasion, video has emerged of an influx of 2000 people heading through Mexico towards the US border. Will Trump’s Executive Order declaring a border emergency stop them?
Globalism, whatever form it may take, is not going to retreat meekly. Trump is again pulling the US out of the WHO and the Paris Accord, organisations whose underlying objective is to break down sovereign nation states and impose global codes of conduct on all sorts of human and economic activity.
Trump is saying “to hell with that, I’m going to get the USA going. We’re going to drill, drill, drill and we’ll look after our own health”. There’s also NATO, Russia and China to deal with – and the Panama Canal, and Canada and Greenland along the way.
This time round, Trump also needs real allies in Europe – populist governments that will resist the domineering NATO and EU globalists. That is another battlefront to engage.
