Kiev regime agreed to prisoner exchange 1000 for 1000 knowing very well that they don’t have that many POWs. They are now filling the number with civilians abducted from Kursk and Ukrainian political prisoners. This just shows the true nature of these beasts.

All these talks of peace are pointless. The whole reason for the SVO was because Ukraine wasn’t capable of negotiating, expecting them to negotiate the end of the war with this current regime is impossible.

The reason that the Russians would not quit the negotiations was that Ukraine had taken 120+ civilians as hostages (contrary to international law) and used them to blackmail Putin. I think that they will pay a heavy price for that.

If the reports about the exchange are accurate then using kidnapped civilians in a POW exchange is a new low even for the Kiev regime.
We will have to wait and see if western media, the OSCE or human rights organisations have anything to say on the subject …. or Trump or Rubio.

MOSCOW, May 23. /TASS/. Russia will be ready to submit to Ukraine draft proposals for a settlement as soon as the countries complete their exchange of prisoners of war, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.
“As soon as the exchange of prisoners of war is over, by that time we will be ready to hand over to the Ukrainian side a draft of this document, which the Russian side is now finalizing,” he said.
According to the minister, Moscow is now putting together the document, which is part of the agreement that Russia and Ukraine reached at the recent talks in Turkey. Under the agreement, Ukraine has to come up with its own document. In these documents, each side will lay out conditions for achieving a sustainable, durable and comprehensive settlement deal.

It seems that the land between former Russian positions and the village of Radkovka is just open fields. While this may be considered dangerous for the Russians it’s possible they happened to find a gap in Ukrainian defences and just went straight for it and there were not any real defensive positions in Radkovka itself.

Why fighting the other party would provide reasons to stop negotiations? Both sides are uttering such absurdity in between saying and acting to the the contrary.
