🚨🇺🇸MISLEADING MUCH, 60 MINUTES?
60 Minutes claimed Kristina Drye “was fired this month in the chaotic shutdown of USAID.”
What they didn’t tell you? Kristina wasn’t a USAID employee – she worked for XLA and Jefferson Partners, providing speechwriting services for USAID… pic.twitter.com/bzxawR4Rxm

Another day, another half-truth from the mainstream media. This time, CBS’s 60 Minutes wants you to believe Kristina Drye was “fired” from USAID during the agency’s chaotic shutdown. But there’s a problem with that narrative—she wasn’t a USAID employee. Not even close.
Drye was a speechwriter working for XLA and Jefferson Partners, firms that provided services for USAID Administrator Samantha Power. When Power resigned, Drye’s contract ended. That’s not a firing. That’s what happens when your boss leaves and the job disappears. But CBS didn’t bother telling you that, did they?
The USAID shutdown wasn’t some random event—it was part of a larger overhaul led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Elon Musk’s administration. The goal? To clean house. DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) initiatives were scrapped, propaganda TVs were unplugged, and woke language was purged from government websites. The establishment wasn’t happy, and neither were their media lackeys.
So what did 60 Minutes do? They spun the story, playing the victim card for bureaucrats who were never even government employees. They framed Drye as a tragic casualty of Musk’s reforms—when in reality, she was just another contractor whose job ended when her client left.
And here’s the kicker—these weren’t people thrown onto the streets. Elon Musk set the record straight: “60 Mins are such liars. As the Community Note states, all employees were offered 8 months of pay & benefits.” That’s more than fair. But CBS left that out too.
Drye has since taken to social media, lamenting the supposed hardships she and her colleagues faced. But let’s be honest—this wasn’t a government purge; it was an overdue cleaning of an agency bloated with activist dead weight. And the media? They’re just mad they lost another taxpayer-funded propaganda mill.
