Scholz called Musk a threat to democracy in Europe.
At a press conference in Berlin, the German Chancellor accused the businessman of supporting far-right parties in the EU:
“This threatens the democratic development of Europe, it threatens our community and must be criticised.”
Musk previously supported the opposition German party AfD, saying that only it could save Germany.
